Price of die cast fittings

Noted in the latest EC&M that die cast/ zinc fittings are up in price about 50%. A penny is mostly zinc with a copper coating, and it costs more to make a penny then its worth.
As result are more steel emt fittings being installed?

Yes, we have been buying only steel fittings.

The price of zinc and die-cast fittings has risen so dramatically, that REGAL has discontinued most of its line of zinc-alloy fittings! Just when I was about to buy a case of their zinc-alloy lock rings, I discover I can't get them any more
