CONVEYOR PRODUCT - 24VDC Motorized Roller Conveyor

Question
A 'C' shaped conveyor frame supports motorized and slave rollers. Can 24Vdc, 20 amp power source from a 20 amp power supply be run via a 12 awg, 2 conductor cable along the open side of the conveyor frame, if the frame is ultimately covered with a plastic snap-on plastic extrusion.

Conveyor frame dimension is 10ft long, 6-3/4" high with 1-1/2" flange on top and bottom along the 10ft length. 'C' shaped if looking into the end of the frame.

I think so. It would appear to be an article 725 class 1 circuit.

I am not entirely sure that it is even premises wiring in the first place. It might be equipment wiring.
