similar fast food service, almost identical sq. footage.
same lighting controls, same parent corporation.

one is five pages. the other one is 16 pages. different EE's.

16 pages for a 2,500 sq. ft. occupancy with four dozen lights?
is there a per page pricing plan in this i'm missing?

16 pages of electrical drawings? Or 16 pages for the MEP?

I believe most contractors are honest, but some try to make a profit on any change order they can come up with. Sometimes I think 16 pages are necessary just for CYA notes.

16 just for electrical. had to cut down a tree in the front yard, just for the paper.

Your bid price is directly proportional to the number of pages too, right? The one with 16 pages will be bid at 3 times the one with 5 pages?? :)

Usually the amount of chicken-s**t you have to put up with and the difficulty in getting paid is proportional to the mass of the specification times the number of drawing sheets. Yeah, quote accordingly.

no, my pricing multiplier is determined with the first phone call
with the customer, factored by the number of days between the
invoice date, and the time the check arrives in my hand.

i've got currently three invoices where the check has been run,
supposedly. A/R is creeping up there a bit. i start getting cranky
when stuff gets over 30 days.

time to send chatty emails. i hate having to do that.
