HI, i am new to this forum and i have been doing some research lately about obtaining a journeyman's in ohio. It seems to be unclear the process you must take and the correct amount of years you must be working under a current journeyman.
I have been working as an electrician for over 3 years now doing a variety of installs in multiple factory's (FORD,Honda,GM,Chrysler, ect.). I build coil line machines from scratch which have plcs, proxs, lasers, drives, motors, outlets ect. so i fabricate many brackets, do alot of conduit bending, blueprint reading and wiring. I have an associates degree as an industrial electrician and was wondering if that would count towards obtaining a journeyman card? I do not know who i need to talk to or if i need to take tests to prove my skills? I do believe the UAW will issue me a Journeyman card after so many years working at my current business, but was wondering if the State had its own i could get. Any help from you, or pointers in the right direction would be greatly appriciated!

Thank you for your time.
