Can anybody recommend a good program for generating electrical schematics (three line diagrams, etc.). So far, I have just been using Inkscape (a free digital graphics editor) to make simple diagrams for the few occasions so far that I need to put them in my contracts or when inspectors ask for them. However, my business is still relatively new and I feel like as I start to take on more and more complex projects this will get more and more inconvenient. I have to imagine that dedicated programs exist for this purpose that would make it a lot faster and easier, but I also don't have a huge budget for this right now either. Just wondering what other people have used, what options exist and at what price points (it would be especially great if anyone knows of any free/open source options), and what experiences people have had with different ones.
