I just purchased a Epson powerlite s3 projector and the image looks like you are looking through a screen door, there is nothing wrong with the projector, it just is poor quality.

Anyone have any advice, what do you use, what is good or bad about what you have.

I posted this back in July:

I recently purchased a Toshiba DLP wireless projector for a really good price at circuit city. Look for high resolution (1024x768), good contrast ratio (2000:1) and high lumens (2200 watt). The wireless feature allows me to keep my laptop more remote from the projector and makes for very quick setup and breakdown.

I considered an LCD projector but found they where not as cost effective as DLP models.

I go to www.tigerdirect.com fot my stuff, and have been very happy with their prices. The most important feature that I look for is brightness. Mine is an Acer brand, with 2,600 lumens, and I got a steal on it for less than $1,000 including two day air shipping! I have been very happy with it.

I have been using a company called Projector People. They are on the web, out of Florida. I have been very happy with their service and the tech info they give out either on the phone or over the web.
I will have to check out Tiger Direct to compare them.

There is a ton of info on the Projector People website, that will help you decide what to look for in a projector. It is free to use that portion of the site, so check it out.
