Quick Question:

When applying for an EC License, obviously you are required to send in proof of Liability insurance; but are you REQUIRED to send in any paperwork stating that you are NOT carrying Worker's Comp.?

In MA a lot of towns a requiring an affidavit(sp?) to be filed with the permit. It states that if you have employees then you must have Workmans Comp, if you are a sole prop then you do not.

In Nevada, you have to either provide proof of Workmans' Comp coverage, or submit an affidavit that you are not required (under their rules) to carry such insurance.

ANY employees - even a couple of one-time ditdh diggers from day labor- and you need to have the insurance.
