range/oven specs are: 120/240 or 120/208.
connected load kw rating @ 240/208 is 13.2kw/9.9kw
amps @ 240/208 is 55/48
Please take it easy on me because I am a student
What is the proper branch circuit 40a 0r 60a would one use 8/3 or 6/3 ?
if I calculate by NEC, Column C Maximum Demand (kW) (SeeNotes) (Not over 12 kW Rating )
this would be: 13.2 KW - 12KW = 1.2 KW.
This rounds to 1 KW which means increase the demand in 220.55 column C by 5%.
Column C is 8 KW. Adding 5% is 8.4 KW
8400 / 240 = 35 amps.
Would a 8/3 & a 40A branch circuit be permissible for this range or would one use 6/3 with a 60A branch circuit
