underground meter socket,
e.m.t. to meter socket
bonding bushing in meter socket with wire to grounded conductor bar which is bonded to socket,
inside load center bonding bushing on e.m.t. with
wire to grounded conductor bar which is bonded to load center.Grounding electrode from water system and ground rods to grounded conductor bar.
Code states standard locknuts cannot be used on line side of service so bonding bushings must be used because of knockouts in equipment. Meter socket comes from factory with grounded conductor bar bonded to it and is listed as such.
Code states grounded conductor is to be bonded at
service disconnect. Any thoughts????????

Re: Proper Service Installation

250.24 says the connection is to be at any accessible point from the load end of the service drop or lateral. It can be at the meter or service disconnect, but not at both.

Re: Proper Service Installation

On the EMT and the Bonding Bushing(s), don't forget to read 250 Part V., 250.80 and 250.81 .

Also 250,92(A) and (B).
