protection for buck & boost and conductors

I am still confused with transformers:
Is secondary OCPD required for buck and boost transformers? Or for secondary conductors?

It is for the post that i had earlier two weeks ago about the commercial oven:
If i install a BB xfrmr obviously the primary has OCPD do i need to install OCPd for the secondary? either for the xfrm or the conductors or both?
