A quote from an answer from a general electric question:
As of the 1st of this year You are required to install 1 outlet per car space and also 1 inch conduit to a panel with 2 pole breaker space for future car charging.
I would appreciate it if someone could provide the article & wording for this.:D
Thanks in advance

...and it never should be. The NEC doesn't require you to make provisions for a future electric range, hot water heater, dryer, etc. It's not a design manual, although it seems to come perilously close to that line often enough.

Here ya go...Although connecting an EV charger to the receptacles would be a violation of 625.40 unless each receptacle outlet was supplied by an individual branch circuit. :?

(G) Basements, Garages, and Accessory Buildings. For oneand
two- family dwellings, at least one receptacle outlet shall be
installed in the areas specified in 210.52(G)(1) through (3).
These receptacles shall be in addition to receptacles required
for specific equipment.
(1) Garages. In each attached garage and in each detached
garage with electric power, at least one receptacle outlet shall
be installed in each vehicle bay and not more than 1.7 m
(51∕2 ft) above the floor.

You didn't find the last part about the EV charger because it's not in the NEC. It's a local amendment in CA.

Not a local amendment. It is in the Frikin green code as I stated in the other thread.
Made by the tree huggers. Those Hippocrates that want everything as long as it is made somewhere else. They want to use electricity as long as it is produced somewhere else. I could go on and on.

No offence intended but Cali. may soon be another country:thumbsup::lol::happyyes:

I hope not , but the rest of the country needs to realize CA is a drain on the national economy.

Why not. They already seem to live in a different reality. Present company excepted.

There are too many in a different reality here.
