Hello all,
I have looked into different forums but haven't really found one with the kind of work im doing. I work as a transmission planning engineer and use PSLF software and its EPCL, RAS, and dynamic files to run studies of the tranmission system. Currently I've been working on a way to make a RAS file a little smarter, since the criteria drops all of the generation its pointing to when a contingency happens. This is not fully true since in real operational time the whole generation from our system does not drop when a certain contingency happens, but curtailment of it happens based off a nomogram table, where the flow coming into two different buses will show in the nomogram about how much generation the operations center is required to drop. i was looking into the WECC files they have available on their website, and found a file with different formats and "orders" to which the case will trigger when running steady state or transient analysis. If anyne knows of a way of controlling the generation my RAS is dropping, or maybe keep running different scenarios from my case till this one solves i would appreciate a lot.
Thanks.
