Hi- I have a question about the e-stop switch to shut down jet pump in spa.... it has all the signage and only shuts down the therapeutic pump motor.... these spas have collection tanks or gravity drainage tanks... no where in the building code can I find where it allows the re-circulation pump to continue running.. nor can I find it in the DOH codes for pool/spa safety...can anyone please direct me to where I may find it... I think the recirc pump should go off with the other pump... but I am told different.
Thank you
Mac

Here is what the NEC states:

680.41 Emergency Switch for Spas and Hot Tubs. A
clearly labeled emergency shutoff or control switch for the
purpose of stopping the motor(s) that provide power to the
recirculation system and jet system shall be installed at a point
readily accessible to the users and not less than 1.5 m (5 ft)
away, adjacent to, and within sight of the spa or hot tub. This
requirement shall not apply to single-family dwellings.
