If you go to south wire there is a tension cal or limit chart. There is also a tool that records the tension when making long pulls. I dont think that there is a limit per code but for industry standard that sounds right (250-300). Remember the longer the run the harder the pull and the chance you will damage the wire.

Correct, there is not. I have pulled runs consisting of (4) 500 kcmil over 800'

The wire pulls were nothing, once I picked up a 2000kw generator with 4000 gallons of fuel in it to retrieve a screw driver I dropped down the wire entrance, of course that was when I was younger :grin:
