Pump House with no disconnecting means?

An existing pool has a Club House and Pump House. The Main PB is in the Club House(150ft from Pump House). 225A, 208/120Y, 42ckt Main Panel. A 100A 3? breaker w/#8THW 4wire feeds the Pump House 100A Panel. 9ckts are used in the Pump House Panel.

1. Shouldn't there be a disconnecting means for the pump house somewhere at the pump house. 6breaker rule is already exceeded.
2. Is there a "gimmee" on pool equipment buildings that I'm missing? (searched the code)
3.Does the breaker at the club house act as the disconnecting means for the pump house. BTW, the panel is 42ckt(mostly full), top-fed, 225 amp.

There's plenty of capacity in the system except for the #8awg carrying 67amps, but no disconnect for the pump house.

Need guidance.

Re: Pump House with no disconnecting means?

225.31 Disconnecting Means.
Means shall be provided for disconnecting all ungrounded conductors that supply or pass through the building or structure.
225.32 Location.
The disconnecting means shall be installed either inside or outside of the building or structure served or where the conductors pass through the building or structure. The disconnecting means shall be at a readily accessible location nearest the point of entrance of the conductors. For the purposes of this section, the requirements in 230.6 shall be permitted to be utilized.
Exception No. 1: For installations under single management, where documented safe switching procedures are established and maintained for disconnection, and where the installation is monitored by qualified individuals, the disconnecting means shall be permitted to be located elsewhere on the premises.

The only kind of facility were I would believe that the exception applies are those were an electrician is always present on sight when the facility is operating.

Re: Pump House with no disconnecting means?

Well Tom,

The pump house is a locked building about 400sf that houses the pump and filter system for the pool and a small locker for chemicals. The panel in this building is 100amp 3? 208/120y. The only load is the pump which pulls 42amps. This building in somewhat new, less that 10years, (unlike me in the industry). This building was approved during construction by the city, so why would this configuration not be approved now? The code seems to say "Add a Disconnect!" but the building is not commercial or residential, it's either accessory or utility.

I'm still not sure.
