I'm working the state of New Hampshire FYI....

Question is regarding the conduit sizing for the raceway of pump motor cable!?

I'm going to be installing a new submersible HOMA pump in a existing wet well and the conduit is size 1.25 RMC. This particular situation the cable will fit just fine but where exactly in the NEC code stating how to size that conduit?

Most of the time I install a sleeve, 24 inches or less of conduit and don't connect it into cabinet, free air cable for hazard purposes! Doing it this way prevents me from worrying about derating conductors.

Look forward to hearing all your comments!

You need to look at Chapter 9 tables 4 and 5 but if all the conductors are the same insulation type and size you can use Annex C
I've never found anything in table 5 regarding the SJO or SO cable??? I would assume that the cable should account for taking up space and cause more heat.....
