PV Battery information resource needed

Hi Guys,

First of all, really like this forum. You guys give some great information and good advice in accordance with the NEC.

I want to start getting into PV battery but I do not know of a good starting off point. Can anybody offer a good book or perhaps a website where there is information in regards to PV and how battery is integrated.

Anything will help at this point. I've learned a lot about PV within the last few years, but since Battery has not been ramped up like module tech, Ive felt like I have fallen behind. Since Tesla's powerwall however I have been re-considering investing a lot of my time into learning this new concept.

Thank you all very much!

You can try SolarPanelTalk at https://www.solarpaneltalk.com
It is an advertising supported site, but you will get totally unbiased information from the members.
There are some excellent sticky threads with information on batteries and off-grid or hybrid systems.

Ok!
Here are 44 articles.

And then if you search just storage there are 120 results.

And then there's this ol' 42 page thread with 415 comments!

5 CONCLUSIONS
This paper investigates the economics
of residential PV battery systems
with the business case of subsituting grid electricity costs.
The impact of different economic input parameters on the
required battery system pricewere studied for a
defined reference case.
The results reveal that the major factor is the interest rate, followed
by the PV system price, retail electricity price and feed-in tariff.
Assuming that the calculated required battery
system prices in the range of
about 500─2000 €/kWh will be achieved in the future;investing in a PV battery
systemis financially more attractive than purchasing the
entire electricity demand from the grid.
Therefore it can be expected that most of the residential PV systems will
be equipped with storage batteries in
the future, which allows to implement additional functionalities to
boost the further development of the PV expansion.

sweet.

This looks like a pretty good amount of resources to start out. Thank you guys for helping. I'll take a look through everything. I'm pretty excited to start filling my brain full of this knowledge that ive been lacking for the past few years.

Thanks again!
