PVC Back Box

Article 314.3 “ Non Metallic Boxes”permits the use of non metallic Boxes in some areas e.g open wiring on insulators, concealed knob and tube wiring etc.
My question is can we use PVC back box concealed in Concreate instead of metallic back box. Is this allowed per NEC?

Yes. Maybe better since it will never rust.

But Since it is a connection point, May cause Hazard in case of spark and fire..

In this country plastic boxes are commonplace for nearly all electrical uses. The plastic is fire retardant and will not support combustion.

Not a concern. Plastic outlet boxes are more than adequate for the purpose.

Haven’t seen much about the use of PVC boxes in NEC instead they are discussing more about the Galvanised Metallic boxes.

That may be because most non-metallic boxes are marked with conductor quantity limits.

Cable clamping and most other box rules apply to both types of boxes.
