We recently ordered a bundle of 2" electrical PVC conduit for delivery to a rural site, yet did not specify schedule 40 or 80 when ordering, simply 'electrical conduit, pvc'.
The item shipped is marked ' DB-120' , complies with TC6, TC8. While this is obviously a thinner wall, is the product legal for electrical use?

Thanks.

The product (2" pvc DB120) will be buried 18" below walkable surface and will be used for DC power from a PV solar array to the inverter location. We intend to pull 2# 1/0 THHN in this conduit. I have worked in urban areas for 30 years with sched 40 and sched 80 but have not seen this product previously.

Thnks

thanks bob,
are there some rural areas that are not required to comply with nec requirements for electrical installations? or, to put it simply, how can a supplier sell this material if it is not legal in a particular county? is this a 'buyer beware' situation?

The utilities can use it, phone, cable electrical whatever.

However if your working under an un-amended NEC you can not use it.
