Do I need two expansion fittings for an underground service coming off the meter, underground about 30-40 ft and then up into a mobile home? I know ill need one coming off the meter but do I need one when i stub out of ground? hoping not as i need to use SCH 80 because of where it will stub out!! TIA

See 352.44. You'll need to calculate the max expansion for your region by using Table 352.44. In the Puget Sound area, I don't see expansion fittings for your application. Other areas do use them, there are some slip type fittings used for your application that would be simpler than the traditional expansion fitting.

As Tom notes, the variation in ground temperature may be low enough that no horizontal expansion joint is required at all.
But if frost heave is a factor you may need a vertical expansion joint or slip joint at each end even though the vertical length is short.
