Our inspectors are getting more astute to the installation of RNC. Recently my colleague and I installation a series of conduit runs on top of a breeze wall way in a school with Cat5E for communications. The inspector did not pass the install because: 1) We did not install expansion fittings, 2) We did not use cable with the correct rating.
I have never installed expansion fittings so when I look at Tables 352.44(A) and 352.44(B) of the 2005 NEC I am completely confused. So with this post, could anyone help me understand this table so I can do the proper installation.
As a first question: Is the lenth change of PVC conduit in inches per 100 feet?
2.) How would I do math calculations for a run of conduit 300 feet long using which multiplier?
