PVC glue applicators

It's a pain to glue larger PVC with the applicator in the can.

Anyone have something better they use?

I have found that it's always better to take the applicator out of the can and use it that way.

I have never really had a problem with it, but I do find it's easier to work with the heavy body grey as more cement seems to be picked up by the applicator. Also, you can 'slop' it on thick and it won't run off like the thin clear stuff.

Go to the plumbing supply house and get a roller applicator/can. Its a empty quart can with a roller applicator in the lid. The only way to go when doing large PVC.
 
For the bigger stuff we use the gray heavier bodied stuff from Weld On, we get it from an irrigation supply:
