I'm looking for a heating blanket that will heat 1/2" thru 2" PVC. I would like a blanket over the Hot Box. Any and all help is appreciated.

Thanks

Curious as to why you would want one for such small pipe. I think it will destroy 1/2 or 3/4 inch. All i ever needed or wanted was a heat box on 2 " and a heat gun on smaller than that

My Greenlee blanket does 1/2 through 1 1/4" only I believe. I'm not sure you going to find a blanket with such a wide range.

I just started using a blanket recently, I like being able to do other things while it's heating. Babysitting a piece of pipe with a heatgun doesn't seem very efficient to me.

Don't get the little blanky for 2" stuff. It's like 12-14", something like that. Not big enough to heat enough of the 2" to do much with it.

Well if your in a hurry and want your pipe bent fast plus it only takes 1/2 the time the old pvc box heater takes go to the GB web site look at the new tiny tube bender its a induction heat box fast and you dont have to baby sit the pipe in fact you dont turn the pipe . Funny thing is in my shop we have a 4 inch and we dont wait for bends to heat up its real fast and its a complete heating effect inside to outside on pipe whats great is the no turning or rotating the pipe induction heat the way to go !

You'll need two if you get Greenlees.

The 860-1-1/2 only goes to 1?". It's not long enough to make a Code-legal radius bend in 2". You'll need the 860-3 for that, which will do 2" - 3".

I have a "Pipe Viper" for the smaller stuff, 1/2" & 3/4". I'm really looking to make bends in 1" to 2" range. Since the blankets have a range I was hoping to find something that would meet all of the sizes I work with. I don't work with PVC over 2", and at that not very often.

Sure, and it used to be legal, too. Check out 352.24. I know that you don't ever scorch the pipe, but I heard that somebody did, once, somewhere ;).
