Is there any code reason I need a rigid fitting to turn 90’s out of a concrete slab? Or is the pvc 90 fine?

some also use metal to keep the pvc from being broken during construction.

I haven't tried it myself yet, but I was given the suggestion of landing the PVC into a female threaded connector flush with finished slab. Install threaded plug. When slab done chip out if necessary, remove the plug, install threaded conduit. Anyone do it this way?

have seen it this way in several water and wastewater plant out here. usually, we allow it if they've already installed the elbows and encased them. we spec transition to rigid at the elbow and (nearly) all exposed conduits aluminum.

I turn PVC up in walls, but generally in an exposed area I will come through the slab with GRC wrapped in corrosion protection tape; for example coming into a surface mount panel board. But I’ve seen a lot of specs that require GRC even in the walls. A job I did recently required the GRC couplings dead flush with the floor.
