What are the best methods out there for securing PVC (3/4" and 1") on the dirt/rocks directly underneath a 4" concrete slab.

I use the long hooked wires the landscapers use to secure sod to slopes they are cheap and work well. Doesn't take many unless the are not using wire in the slab. The plastic and reinforcing wire tend to help your conduits stay in place.

Pour concrete over them.:D

If your trying to protect them until the pour, I drive 2' pieces of EMT at opposing angles every 4 to 5 feet and tie wire them.

Scrap ?" EMT if they're small pipes. Bend 'em any way you want.

Sometimes, I bend them twice and make a humongous Romex staple with 'em. Pound them in with a hammer......

Pour concrete over them.

I made that mistake once. They may float and that really makes the concrete guys upset.

Who knew conduit would float?

How about tie wire and rebar stakes?

anyone who's ever poured one sack slurry over a duct bank that wasn't
staked... :D

then you have to use apprentices for paperweights for a little while....
the apprentices don't like it, and usually whine a lot, and that's not any fun.

I was involved with that once.
Well, it was staked, just not very well.

Fulthrotl may not be as big as you Larry, so not quite as intimidating...:D
