PVC vs RGS

What are the pros and cons for utilizing PVC vs RGS conduit in an exterior location, i.e. feeding a chiller.

Cost, ease of installation would be the benefit of PVC.
The only drawback to PVC might be susceptibility to physical damage.
Don't forget expansion joints especially up on the roof.
