I am installing wire basket cable tray from Cooper B-Line. This cable tray will be running below a suspended ceiling above a row of computer server racks. MC cable will be used to bring the branch circuits to the server racks and I wanted to mount some 4 sq. boxes using the following bracket to the side of the cable tray. My question centers on this bracket made by cooper, part number WB4WB. http://www.cooperbline.com/product/PDFLibrary/CableTray/WireBasket/index.htm In the catalog I have it clearly shows this bracket being used to mount a 4 sq. box to the side of the wire basket cable tray. After reading through 392.6(J) I am beginning to second guess whether I can use this bracket at all. I am not an industrial facility. Can I get a second opinion?

Thanks,
Kevin

don't have my code book w/ me; what does 392.6(J) say? I looked at the part; seems like if this part is listed for the application, you're okay.

[quote I am not an industrial facility. Can I get a second opinion?

Your right . If it is not a qualifying industrial facility. It is not allowed.
It's not allowed in commercial, as you know.
What type of building do you want to do this in ? And how many boxes would you like to install? Will the cieling tile be against the boxes?
The AHJ might make an exception if it is not to many.

Thanks for the replies everyone. The building type is actually a room in a hospital that has been converted to a small computer room. There are presently six racks so there will be a need for at least twelve boxes. The boxes will not be next to the ceiling tiles, at least not in plan-A. Looks like I will need to make a phone call to the AHJ or come up with a code compliant plan-B??..Thanks again everyone.
