Fluorescent lighting fixtures screwed to steel structure. The structure is grounded to the building grounding system (electrodes, floor reinforcements).
Does the NEC allow this as a way of protective ground of equipment exposed metal parts?
We use 3 phase 4 wire wye power system using PEN conductor.
Is it necessary to add a grounding wire bwt the light fixures and the steel structure?
