In an industial plant would 12/4 soow cord, 48" long feeding a five horse 408V 3 phase motor be allowed. If it had strain relief on each end and was supported within 10" of each end? I installed one this way because vibration kept breaking the short run of conduit from the nearby box to the motor. Later the same day an older eletrician ripped it out and redid it with a 10" peice of conduit and a 30" SOOW cord and no support for the cord. Because he said it was illegal.
