Can I terminate/hook up several Zones of water flow and tamper switches, in series with each other using one monitor module for the water flow and one monitor modules for the tamper switches?

What I have is a series of dry sprinkler systems in the fire riser room that is divided up into several zones. Each zone of the sprinkler dry system has it own water flow and tamper switch.

Local codes not withstanding, you may put 5 waterflows on a single zone (NFPA 72-2016 23.8.5.5.2) or 20 tampers (NFPA 72-2016 23.8.5.6.2).

Codes. :D

Our local FDs don't need no stinking codes, they want what they want or you will not occupy the building on schedule.

In these parts the construction official issues the COO and if he so chooses, the FD can go pound...you get the idea. If the CO won't allow a code-compliant installation the next call is to DCA and that department gets a few ride-alongs until they get their act together.

Top dog here is fire dept. They add exit signs, pull stations, emergency lights at random during the final walk through of the jobs.

You could fight it but in the meantime the occupancy permit is not issued.

The FD's here have allowed their power to go to their heads, so they just make it up as they go along.
