Question for you guys who recently passed the NJ test

I took the test on Oct 6th and passed. Now I was just wondering if any of you guys who had their paperwork in for the Nov 5th meeting got their license number yet. I was given a job but I can't go ahead until I get that damn number. If I don't get it soon they will find someone else.

I sent my paperwork in on October 30th and haven't heard anything yet. I was going to wait another week before contacting them.

Did you send in for your license and business permit. You need both to file a permit. Did you send the paperwork on time if not you have to wait. until the next meeting.

Yes, I sent in the paperwork for my license, business permit, & pressure seal. I sent it on October 30th and the meeting was on November 5th, so it should have been plenty of time. Of course, we are talking about Jersey...

I dont think you got in on time I believe you have to have it in two weeks before the meeting. I know that if the paperwork isn't exactly right they will send it back to you. Then you have to wait another month, having gone though that.

Not that it matters, but you won't get your seal for a long time. Mine took 2 months after I got my license (unless things have changed since '03). They will give you a letter to take to the towns authorizing you to present the letter in lieu of a seal.

You do get a really nice wall certificate, though. Nicest one I've gotten from any state so far.

Well I guess I'll be waiting for the December 3rd meeting then.
