Question of essential electric system

I understand that NEC 2014 section 517.17 applies to critical care space or life support equipment but their is no mention of use with essential electric system which has all 3 branches: life safety, critical and equipment.

Does NEC 2014 section 517.17 apply to healthcare tenant space in multi occupancy building in mix with other tenant spaces separated by fire wall and the healthcare space has operation rooms, recovery rooms and essential electrical system: life safety branch, critical branch, equipment branch?

517.17 GF protection? i do not have a 2014 only a 2017 not sure if it was arranged, differently in the prior cycle

Yea GF protection. Seems like not much has changed NEC 2017 that article except they added category number.

the way i am reading this "(including multiple-occupancy buildings) WITH CRITICAL CARE (cat 1 space) or any life saving/support equipment and your definition of cat 1 space is on the prior page 517.10 i would yes? being it states "and other buildings"

Thank you for responding back. I do appreciate it.

However, we are NOT in NEC 2017. Post #1 question what would it be NEC 2014?
