I am an Fluke, Astromed, RPM, BMI guy and older Dranetz. A customer came into possession of a Dranetz Power Platform 4300. They had some issues with the installation and capturing of data and asked for my assistance. I have played with the unit for several minutes and seems pretty straight forward, especially if one use the easy start.

ARE THERE ANY MAJOR ISSUES, with this unit I should be aware of, IE. I tell it to monitor in 1. EASY START and follow instructions, or is there a threshold issue in easy mode that could fill the memory and I should self program the thresholds in the 5. ADVANCED SETUP OPTIONS.

This is going to pretty much be a one shot deal as the site is VERY SECURE getting in and out VERY HARD, and no calls once I am in. It is after 6:00 PM and factory is closed, my Dranetz sales guy is having a seminar on Thursday and won't be available for conferencing.

Any help or insight will be appreciated.

I have a Power guide 4400 and I usually set it on auto mode as I am satisfied with the thresholds built in. However, prime consideration is memory. I use a 128 MB memory which, from experience, usually lasts over a week on ordinary uneventful days. if you have a smaller memory capacity, you could do a manual setup and be more lenient in recording events if you are anticipating a slew of events

Thank You....I think I'll go manual...Normally with a newer instrument (new to me) I like to play with them in the shop not able to do that this time.
