I have a kitchen designer that I work for from time to time and she asked me if I could install a camera in her studio so she can monitor when someone is in her store. She mainly does her work in the back of the store. Which is separtated by a door, and she would like to be able to keep an eye on the front without having to get up all the time. I want to install something she can monitor on her computer. Preferably when the camera senses motion it will let her know via her computer. I dont have a tremendous amount of experiance with camera work but I would love to help her out. the front of the store is about 35-40 feet long any help would be appreciated.

Sounds like she'd be good with one of those off the shelf "kits", for all the more she needs. Many of them plug into your network.

Why not install a ding dong  when the door opens. That's what most stores use around here.
She doesnt want to have to get up everytime. Its a bit of a walk for her everytime. She wants the "eye in the sky"

Yes, but the baked goods get stale. Plus, the crumbs on the floor wouldn't present a professional appearance.

You can buy them at Home Depot I believe or do a search on store surveillance kits
