I have a job with an existing 2nd floor metal deck they are turning into office space, there will be 2inches of concrete for the floor. I need to install conduit in slab, is there 2inches of concrete required measured from top of conduit in this situation. I am hoping to lay pipe in lower groove of deck.

The code does not require any concrete coverage of the conduit for that application. However, often the design specs will not permit conduit in that type of slab.

I'd like to know what is wrong with that installation. If I understand it, hes using corragated steel decking and putting a pipe in the bottom of the valley. The concrete guys will lay a mess over everything and then pour the concrete. I've think I've done this before.
