I was reading up on Plenum cable on page 260 of Mike's Illustrated Guide to Understanding the NEC, Volume 2. In Figure 800-30 it states that :

Communications plenum cables arem listed for use in ducts, plenums, and other spaces used for environmental air, but they are not permitted to be installed in ducts or plenums.

Could this be explained in further detail or is this a misprint? Did I just misinterpret this statement?
Thanks are in order for a clarification.

See 300.22(A)and (B). In general cables are not permitted in ducts or plenums. "Plenum" cable is used in 300.22(C) applications..."other spaces used for environmental air".
