1800 sqft house
one 11kw Range one 6kw 240v dryer
what is general lighting load
question what is minimum 120volt 2 wire brance circuits?
question what is net load?
i did 1800x3 =5400 watts answer

5400/120 =45amps 45/15 is 3 branch circuits or 45/20 2 branch circuits?
5400+11000+6000=22400
first 3000 at 100%-3000=19400?

There is no such animal. We can never know what the end user will plug in, and for how long.

The best you can do is a "calculated load" ...following Article 220.

It would be three of either 15A or 20A branch circuits - two 20A circuits would only give you 40A, not 45A.

No, you do not include the range and dryer in the "Demand Lighting Load".

The range and the dryer are demanded seperately from the lighting, even from each other. Try it again with this in mind. :)

For a test question always use 15 amp circuits for general lighting load calculations. There is a demand factor to consider once you bridge the first 3000 VA. Table 220.42 should be used. For a range you must use Table 220.55. One range more than 8 3/4 KW but less than 12 KW should be fiqured at 8 KW. The dryer in this case should be either 5KW or the name plate which ever is greater.

As to the demand factor and loads on the range use table 220.55, with only one range you use nameplate rating. Note #4. And as stated the dryer is minimum 5kw or nameplate if greater.

I think you are wrong in this case. Range calculation must be made using Table 220.55. Note #4. Branch-Circuit Load. It shall be permissible to calculate the branch circuit load for one range in accordance with table 220.55. Not simply by using the name plate. But rather using the name plate in conjunction with the table to arrive at the reduced demand load that you want. Since the range is larger than 8 3/4 KW col C is mandatory.
