Attached sketch shows fire smoke damper (FSD). The FSD is used to maintain fire and smoke rating. Mechanical duct penetrates fire rated wall and needs the FSD.
The FSD is not part of smoke removal system. The FSD when no power by default closes and when their is power motor holds it open.
According to sketch would you say that when their is No Smoke and smoke detector does Not activate And AHU shuts off but their is still power to the FSD to hold it open then would MM or CM contact shut down the FSD?
I realize that I had similar thread before but this is about how it controls not about life safety branch or equipment branch
