After Reviewing the NEC and the NFPA 77 I have a bonding question.
The facility I am working on there is a designed grounding ring around the buildings that bonds between Structure Steel, Stairwells, and some pumps and equipment.
The first question I have is there a set Voltage or Size requirement for the pump motor before it needs to be bonded?
After reviewing NFPA 250.112 (C)(K)(L) I would be lead to believe any pump since they are fixed in place many used to pump ethanol or flammable liquid should be bonded to reduce the risk of static build up as also defined in the NFPA 77.
The Second Question : Wouldn't the Equipment Grounding Conductor cover all the pumps & electrical equipment if the equipment is being fed by a conductor set which includes a grounding conductor back to the MCC or distribution panel which grounding buss is utimately bonded to the grounding ring?
