Hi everyone,
I recently started using a pearl drilling machine for my jewelry workshop, and I’m curious about the electrical side of things. Most of these machines come with a small motor, a power switch, and a foot pedal for speed control. I'm wondering if anyone here has experience modifying or maintaining these machines.
Specifically, I’d love to know:
What kind of motor is typically used (AC or DC)?
Is it safe to replace the original motor with a more powerful one?
Any tips for wiring the foot pedal more efficiently?
I’m comfortable with basic electronics but want to make sure I stay safe and don’t damage the machine. If anyone has wiring diagrams or upgrade suggestions, I’d really appreciate it!
Thanks in advance!
