For those who feel up to the challenge.... i have 2 questions for you. these are 2 problems i ran into today, and thought it would be fun to share!!! have fun

1. When installing Greenfield FMC vertically and horizontally, what is the proper strapping pattern? ( also: what is the exception to this rule and why?)

2. Does a 3/4" conduit of 3 networks require an adjustment factor? if required, please state the adjustment factor.

GOOD LUCK

Re: QUICK AND EASY QUESTION!!

This looks like apprenticeship homework questions?

1. Section 348.30(A) and (B)

2. I have no clue what you are talking about. What do you mean by "3 networks"?

Re: QUICK AND EASY QUESTION!!

I'm not sure what he means by "3 networks" either, but I have heard the term "network" applied to multiwire branch ckts. consisting of (3) opposite hots & a shared neutral from a 208Y/120V. branch ckt. panelboard.

So maybe lingwai1 has a 3/4" C. with (9) hots & (3) neutrals. If so, yes it would require an ampacity adjustment factor because of more than (3) current-carrying conductors in a raceway.

Re: QUICK AND EASY QUESTION!!

ARE the network loads linear or nonlinear. IF linear 70% if nonlinear 50%.
