Who, or does anyone, on here use Quick books software for purposes of "running" your buisness??? We have and use quickbooks....although we currently are not using its full potential....would like to change that. Soon...

If you are not using quickbooks, what do you use??? I am trying to find a easier way to generate our invoices and track our costs without manually having to do all of it....Is there a online course for quick books??? As a starting contractor, this is definatly a area we need to improve on, I would like some guidance if anyone is willing to share how you manage your books, I would be greatful. Thanks in advance...

My local tech college has classes. Very cheap as well. I use quick books but only for invoices and book keeping.

We've been using QB almost ever since we started up (5 yrs ago). We use it for invoicing and bookkeeping. It's great, although there is a learning curve involved. After using it for a couple of years we enlisted the aid of a business coach who was very helpful in setting up the accounts the correct way. We still are not using all the features, as I don't use it for inventory or job costing.

quickbooks has about eleventeen ways to do anything. it can be confusing.
if you get your schedule of accounts set up correctly, that's the most
important thing. if you have an accountant or tax prep person, whatever they
charge you to set it up for you would be money well spent instead of trying
to reinvent the wheel yourself.

as quickbooks exports directly into turbotax or lacert, if you don't have your
accounts correctly mapped, it's gonna make a huge mess at tax time.
