I am trying to find the code citations (NEC 2011 Edition) where the bonding of Neutral and Ground at the Main Service Disconnect forces the Neutral and Ground to be isolated at the distribution panelboard for a Residence.

Thanks

Applies to all installations.

250.24(A)(5) Load-Side Grounding Connections. A grounded conductor
shall not be connected to normally non?currentcarrying
metal parts of equipment, to equipment grounding
conductor(s), or be reconnected to ground on the load side
of the service disconnecting means except as otherwise permitted
in this article.

Informational Note: See 250.30 for separately derived systems,
250.32 for connections at separate buildings or structures,
and 250.142 for use of the grounded circuit conductor
for grounding equipment.

Thank you

Thank you

I'm fighting with an author who is insistent with showing a graphic figure of Main Disconnect Switch to residential distribution panelboard.

I won the first struggle convincing him that he could not use a 3 wire cable from the switch to the panelboard but was fighting me on the double bonding of the grounded conductor and main bonding jumper.

Again, thank you. Don
