r cans in cabinets

just got a request from a customer to install 1 4" recess can in a china cabinet. can this be done and still be listed? if so has anyone here installed a can in this fashion? this is the first time ive been asked to do this.

There is no reason that you could not install a can in a cabinet. We do it often. What is your concern?

I have installed quite a few like that, but...
I know what you mean. You picture some one may decide to store paper towls or paper plates up thier four years from now. And not realizing thier is a 50 watt halogen in the can light.

You could put a 4" shower lens on it. But it doesn't look as nice.

exactly, she says only china will be displayed, but we all know how that will change eventually.
