Raceway calculation

We are installing a new service and meter stack to a very old building. We will be running SER cable from the stacks and tenant mains to subfeed panels in the font of the basement. New service is at the back of the building, 50 feet away from the old service which comes into the front of the building. We would like to put four individual runs of 4 wire 2-2-2-4 in a PVC conduit (raceway) to transition across the basement open ceiling. I do not see a clear explanation in the NEC defining how to size the PVC.

Re: Raceway calculation

SER is a "cable assembly". You volume calc it like a single conductor.

See note (9) in Chapter 9

If you're just sleeving it for physical protection, you may be able to use note (2) to ignore fill calc completely. I'd check how far a sleeve like this your AHJ is willing to accept before doing more than one standard 10' section though. This note looks like it may be subject to some interpretation :)
