Raceway continuity

I'm running NM cable surface on a masonry chaseway in a wall, I have ENT embedded in the block above the course of the chaseway 19'' terminated to a box. Do I need to put a connector on the cable where it transitions to the ENT up into the box? 300.10 EXCPT 1 ? 300.12 EXCPT? This Chaseway will be covered by 5/8'' drywall.
 
If the masonry wall is not interior it may by a wet or damp location. If that is the case forget NM. As far as a chase for NM it is a chase not a conduit or raceway and would not need to be continuous.
