Does this comment from the 5/29/14 Mike Holt Newsletter "You can?t install PVC conduit [Article 352], electrical nonmetallic tubing [Article 362], liquidtight flexible conduit, or nonmetallic cables in spaces used for environmental air because they give off deadly toxic fumes when burned or superheated." mean I can no longer use the "Raceway on A Roll" to go around a room with my Smoke Detector/Door Access wiring?

Not sure what you mean by "raceway on a roll" but if it's not plenum listed you should have never been using it in the first place in ceiling environmental air handling spaces. Why would you be using raceway there anyway instead of just plenum listed cable properly supported?

I would agree. It has never been allowed that I know of.
I do not know if legit but I was allowed to use Alum flex and MC years back. Most of the time we use EMT on jobs like that.
