Anyone know of there is NYC/NEC code not allowing MC cable to be run under raised floor for branch power circuits? Thanks.
Not that I can think of, but MC cable is not a raceway. The issues should just be securing it properly.

I would suggest you review the amendments to the 2008 NEC in the link below and see if you can find this code not allowing MC Cable to be used below a raised floor for branch circuits you were told.
I think you will find it is made up or someones Contractual requirement, but not a code requirement.
