Your cost will vary from station to station ,we paid 800.00 for 40 spots on one station and 600.00 for 30 spots on another. We are now in a one year contract with a station. It will make your phone ring it just may take a while. We wanted to reach the 30-60 crowd nothing wrong with the twenty somethings but most could not affords us.It was about two months into things before we started to recieve feedback from customers now we regularly have customers say they hear our add.We write our own adds and change them about every month our febuary add is" You have the perfect wine, you cooked the perfect meal the soft music is on ,now if you could just dim the lights, well don't worry (our compny name here) has 24 hour emergency service ....

Rewire,

That is freaking awesome!
Do you hire an ad agency to think of stuff like that?
Stuff like that would never come to (my) mind!

I have a friend who owns an HVAC company that has had some success with radio as well. He said the key is to be patient. Most people will not remember your company until they have heard the ad 7 to 10 times. Like Rewire says, it took my friend several months to get a response. Better 5000 people hear your ad 20 times than 100000 hear it 1 time.

our febuary add is" You have the perfect wine, you cooked the perfect meal the soft music is on ,now if you could just dim the lights, well don't worry (our compny name here) has 24 hour emergency service ....

I love it! I bet this was ten times more effective than having some radio sales guy come up with some lame copy for the DJ to read.

It also helps to have a name or phone number that's easy to remember without having to write it down right away. My number, for example, is the first seven letters of the word 'electric.'

No, I don't radio-ad yet, but I might. I have to come up with a catchy phrase, like "Leave off the last C for . . . " well, something. Convenience? Courtesy? Cuality?

Our tag-line is: Quality Work Done Right... The First Time!
