The city that I work for has been approched by a contractor thats wants to install raido master fire boxes. We have a wired system now and they are willing to intall receiver stations to operate the new call boxes. Are there any draw backs to these system's or are they as good as the contractor said they are?

Their track record is, what ?
Their warrenty of Services, Are ?
IMO, Hard wired it good, Why are they better than that?
Granted its not much different than water tower service "calls", and this would be different how?
What is the Price structure to Life of the Service - Ratio?
More electro-service subject to more of the elements, I just dont know?
Now I'm wondering if our alarms work, or even been tested lately...

Fire boxes

The contractor is willing to pay for the receivers and install them. They are also willing to donate 3 call boxes for our bike path. There would not be any up front cost to the city.It will cost the contractor $58,000 to install all equipment.Future cost to add new boxes is appx. $5000.00 per box including installation. The boxes do a self check twice daily and send a report to fire alarm.
